Intro to Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) Workshop
Nervous System Regulation for Rest & Resilience
Time & Location
Feb 07, 2021, 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM CST
About the Event
Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is an innovative self-care practice designed to release deep muscular tension, chronic stress, and many forms of trauma. Through a series of exercises, you’ll activate your body’s natural mechanism for discharging excess tension that accumulates in your system after fight/flight/freeze responses. TRE is easy to learn and then execute on your own so you have a go-to method for stress relief.
Together, we’ll go through a series of exercises that activate the seat of primal instinct, our brain stem, to reawaken our body’s mostly forgotten tremor mechanism.
Tremoring allows us to naturally shift into a healthy parasympathetic nervous system state, bringing about lower blood pressure and heart rate, slower respiration, and greater coherence between all systems of the body. Reclaiming this mechanism and the bio-intelligence of our tissues “literally embodies our deepest urge for survival, and more profoundly, our elemental desire to flourish.”
Join us for this month's TRE® Intro Workshop! This simple, yet profound practice is great for active individuals as a post-workout tool for releasing excess muscular tension, but has been used in over 60 countries for recovery from chronic stress and post-trauma symptoms due to generalized life situations, accidents, natural disasters and political violence.
** This workshop is offered as a gift to our community and the world at large in hopes of connecting people more fully to their body. Participants who would like to give a gift in thanks can do so through Venmo: firstname.lastname@example.org or Paypal: email@example.com
