About the Event
Become Strong & Centered in your body. Strength can pull us out of our center if it is not balanced with the ability to release. In this class, we blend traditional fitness and Clinical Somatic movements, teaching you how to isolate, coordinate, contract, and lengthen muscle groups.
Strong & Centered is designed to guide folks who otherwise struggle with exercise or movement practice due to hip and back related pain. This class focuses on both strengthening and releasing the abs, hips, and back - while increasing awareness of form throughout.
Using core-heavy compound movements, we will often balance, press, pull, squat and sometimes jump into solid body awareness. Using only a mat and sometimes a chair or wall, by the end of the class you should feel warm, mobile and grounded in your body - ready to take on the day ahead!
