About the Event

We limit ourselves in our healing journeys when we see the body as something that is simply a container for the "more important" mind and spirit. In your journey, have you ever shifted a belief, but noticed your body is still reactive; the "charge" is still there and you can't seem to act differently no matter how hard you try?

If our bodies are still reacting in old patterns, how can we say we're transformed?

In this Roundtable of embodiment professionals, we will talk about why this happens, what embodiment really is, how people can hone the power of embodiment and its many benefits, and as a result, FEEL lasting change that was otherwise elusive.

Each member of the Comfy Team has gone on their own personal journey of healing and transformation. Our journeys have all been different, as everyone's is. But we have each centered the body throughout our journeys and discovered many of the practices we now share with others along the way. There is not a single person on our team who does not practice what they preach. This Roundtable is a great way to hear what we've discovered and how we understand the role of body-based healing in any transformational process.

By the end, you will have a deeper understanding of why many traditional transformational practices don't always have the impact you're looking for, and learn how to can use embodiment to create ongoing resilience in the face of stress, danger, overwhelm, anxiety and so much more.

This hour long discussion will be moderated by Ash Lopez, founder of the Chicago mental health practice, Art of Balance. Space will be held for a 30 minute Q&A following the discussion - so bring any questions you have for us!
